About this plan

This plan reads all 66 books in 365 days, with the early and historical books of the Old Testament arranged to follow the story more closely than the printed order does. It begins with Genesis and Job, then reads Exodus through Deuteronomy, and goes on to the history books.

Job is read straight after Genesis, where many readers place it, in the age of the patriarchs. Later, Kings and Chronicles are read in turn, so you meet the same reigns twice, told from two points of view. After Esther the plan joins the order of Bible in One Year: Psalms, Proverbs, the Prophets, the Gospels, the letters, and Revelation on day 365.

Choose it if you have read straight through before and want a different arrangement, or if you like the history to unfold in sequence. It is about three chapters a day.
