About this plan
Peace in the Bible is bigger than a calm mood. It is shalom: wholeness, right relationships, things as they should be. This plan reads a week on the peace Jesus leaves with his disciples, and on how it reaches into your heart, your relationships and the world.
Day 1 is Isaiah 26, promising perfect peace to a steadfast mind, and Psalm 4. Day 2 is Jesus’ own words in John 14 and 16, and day 3 reads about peace with God in Romans 5 and peace between people in Ephesians 2. Day 4 offers two stories of peacemaking from Genesis: Abraham and Lot parting without a quarrel, and Isaac and the wells. Colossians 3 on day 5 asks the peace of Christ to rule in your hearts, and day 6 looks ahead to a world at peace in Isaiah 11 and Micah 4. The week ends with Isaiah 55 and Psalm 23.
It is a quiet week for anyone whose days feel noisy.
